QUESTION:
We got arrested for trespassing in October. Our court date is in December, but recently we had cops called out and I had said something to that officer that may not be so good.. Is that going to show up in court??
ANSWER:
Your question is somewhat open to interpretation. If the police were called out for trespassing at the same address, then most likely your statement will appear in a supplemental police report that will be turned over as discovery. If the police were called out for an unrelated matter and you made a statement regarding an older trespassing case, the officer may or may not have written it down and connected it to the older case. If the police were called out for an unrelated matter and you called called the officer an unpleasant name, it will not become evidence in the trespassing case. I hope that helps.
